Large Animal Veterinary Intern
The Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic offers a 1-year equine and farm animal internship to help the right candidate launch a successful veterinary career. Our clinic has 7 large animal veterinarians and experienced support staff to provide outstanding mentorship, a supportive environment, and a competitive salary with full benefits. Our practice believes in family, setting boundaries, and work-life balance. To qualify for the internship, the candidate must have or be able to obtain a Wisconsin and Illinois veterinary license as well as a valid driver’s license.
Our large animal internship provides structured mentorship in all aspects of equine ambulatory practice including preventive care, dentistry, lameness, internal medicine, reproduction, and 24-hour emergency ambulatory care. Additional mentorship will include commercial and pet farm animal ambulatory medicine represented by bovine (principally dairy), small ruminants, camelids, potbellied pigs, as well as some exotics. Currently, the caseload is approximately 75% equine, 20% farm animal, and under 5% exotic and pot-bellied pig.

Small Animal CVT
We're looking for a Small Animal Certified Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate will be motivated, eager to learn, and work well in a team environment. Skill set to include:
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical assisting
- Pharmacy technician
- Animal restraint
- Venipuncture
- Lab work (reading fecals, diffs, running blood machines, urinalysis, etc.)
- Radiology
- Dental radiology
- Dental scaling
- Client education
- Customer service
This position is 35-40 hours per week including some evenings and Saturdays.

Client Service Representative
The Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic is looking to add another member to our client service representative team. Team members in this position review and answer emails, field telephone calls, providing answers to simple pet veterinary questions, schedule appointments, perform basic triage, bill clients and receive payments. Candidates for this position should have good computer skills and a strong desire to help pets and their owners. Prior work in a veterinary setting is desired, but we are happy to train the right candidate. We pride ourselves on our compassion, quality veterinary medicine and service and are looking for someone to continue this tradition.
