Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic can provide emergency vet care services during opening hours. We understand that emergencies rarely happen on a schedule and that timely care and support are essential to your pet’s recovery.
- Difficulty breathing (wheezing, choking, coughing)
- Bleeding heavily
- Not eating or drinking
- Has a very irregular and/or rapid heartbeat
- Unable to urinate or pass stool
- Shaking uncontrollably
- Having seizures
- Appears weak and disoriented
- Pale gums
- Fever
- Chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Blood in urine or stool
- Ingested or possibly ingested a toxin
- Was hit by a car or fell from a height
- Unable to walk straight or without collapsing
- Bleeding from nose, ears, or rectum
- Has puncture/bite wounds from another dog, cat, or a wild animal
