Pet Grooming

Grooming is extremely beneficial to your pet’s health and comfort level. Hygiene has a major impact on the condition of your pet’s coat, nails, ears, and other areas that otherwise might not be getting the attention they need. Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer professional pet grooming to keep dogs and cats clean, healthy, and happy for life.

The Benefits of Good Hygiene Practices

Keeping your pet well-groomed can be as simple as brushing them several times a week and making sure their nails aren’t growing too long. But you should also consider the additional benefits, such as:

  • A healthy, shiny coat that is neither too dry nor too oily
  • Preventing the buildup of oil, loose hair, dead skin cells, bacteria, and dirt
  • A healthy skin barrier that protects your pet from bacterial infections
  • A higher comfort level (no itching or inflammation)
  • Being more accustomed to being around other people and animals
  • Allowing our team the opportunity to check for hidden problems such as skin tags, lumps, and parasites
