Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic can provide emergency vet care services during opening hours. We understand that emergencies rarely happen on a schedule and that timely care and support are essential to your pet’s recovery.

  • Difficulty breathing (wheezing, choking, coughing)
  • Bleeding heavily
  • Not eating or drinking
  • Has a very irregular and/or rapid heartbeat
  • Unable to urinate or pass stool
  • Shaking uncontrollably
  • Having seizures
  • Appears weak and disoriented
  • Pale gums
  • Fever
  • Chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea
  • Blood in urine or stool
  • Ingested or possibly ingested a toxin
  • Was hit by a car or fell from a height
  • Unable to walk straight or without collapsing
  • Bleeding from nose, ears, or rectum
  • Has puncture/bite wounds from another dog, cat, or a wild animal
